Rules and Regulations

  • The I’tikaf will begin Thursday, April 21, after Maghrib Prayer & will continue until Sunday, May 1 after Maghrib.
  • A registration form must be filled out and submitted to the Imam.
  • Ages 18+ are welcome to spend the last 10 days of Ramadan in the Masjid. Ages 15-17 MUST have a parent present at all times. No one under 15 is permitted to attend.
  • Registration is required is based on first come, first serve. 
  • I’tikaf attendees are encouraged to be fully vaccinated.
  • Attendees of I’tikaf MUST abide by the program of the I’tikaf and respect the schedule at all times. Exceptions must be cleared before hand with the Imam.
  • Please bring with you items such as sleeping bags, blankets, pillows, toiletries (soap, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrush, towels, etc.), as MCK will not provide any personal items.
  • Only one piece of luggage per person in the masjid. (Space will be provided to place your luggage during I’tikaf).
  • Participants should clear the musalla from any luggage during program times.
  • Lights will be turned off for sleeping from 6:45 – 10:30 am, from midnight to 3:30 am, and during break times. Please be considerate and do not disturb others who wish to rest. If you wish to do extra nawafil during these times, please do it quietly.
  • All main doors will be locked between midnight and 3:30 am. (Please arrive on time, and be aware that if you leave the premises between those hours, you will not be permitted to enter again).
  • Suhur and Iftar will be served for the attendees of I’tikaf during the 10 days. We also have showering facilities for brothers and sisters.
  • We strongly encourage all the brothers and sisters to cooperate with the I’tikaf team.
