Painful experiences and the pressures of life can block out or dull our fitra and helping each other keep our fitra as pure as it could be, should be our duty as believers.
Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah said: “Religion is giving sincere advice. They said, “To whom, O Messenger of Allah?” He said: “To Allah, to His Book, to His Messenger, to the imams of the Muslims and to their common folk.”
Anas ibn Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah said: “The one who performs istikharah (seeking Allah’s guidance) will not be unsuccessful and the one who makes istisharah [seeking counseling) counsel] will never regret.” [Narrated by Imam Tabarani, Mu’jamul Saghir]
We all need Nasiha & Guidance (counseling) at some point in our lives and helping one another in this journey of life is one of the most uplifting, generous and healing things we can do.
