IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: SHIFA MEDICAL CLINIC CLOSURE

Dear Patients and Community Members,

After many years of serving our community, Shifa Medical Clinic will be permanently closing effective September 1, 2026.

This was not an easy decision. Despite our continued efforts to keep the clinic operating, ongoing staffing and funding limitations have made it no longer possible for us to continue providing care.

Current Patients

If you are a current Shifa Medical Clinic patient and need medication refills, laboratory orders, follow-up care, or assistance with any other medical concerns, we strongly encourage you to visit the clinic on an upcoming Saturday before September 1st so that we can assist you prior to our closure.

Continuing Your Medical Care

For patients who need affordable or reduced-cost healthcare after our closure, we encourage you to contact the following Knoxville-area resources:

– Knoxville/Knox County Health Department
– River Valley Health (formerly Cherokee Health Systems)
– InterFaith Health Clinic

These organizations may be able to provide ongoing primary care and other healthcare services at reduced cost for eligible patients.

We are deeply grateful to every patient and family who has trusted Shifa Medical Clinic with their care. It has been an honor and a privilege to serve our community, and we sincerely thank you for allowing us to be part of your healthcare over the years.
